Tenby’s unspoilt South Beach, a mile long stretch of golden sand, can be reached in less than 10 minutes on a footpath through the sand dunes. Penally has a choice of two village pubs within an easy stroll – both providing a warm welcome to families as well as serving lunches and evening meals.

The nearby village shop can supply your daily requirements, and you may even get a chance to catch up with some local gossip!

Pembrokeshire’s premier holiday resort of Tenby is a little over a mile away. The famous view of the harbour is backed by a small maze of narrow streets where it is easy to ‘lose’ yourself for an hour or two browsing the gift shops, tea rooms and cafes.

You can delve into the resort’s history at the Museum, an authentic Tudor Merchant’s house and St. Mary’s church which has proudly dominated the town centre since the 12th Century.

Tenby offers a choice of restaurants and pubs catering for all tastes and pockets, and on a more practical note, our nearest banks and supermarket can also be found in the town.
We’re open all year round – Penally retains its charm throughout the winter, and our mild climate brings back more and more out-of-season visitors each year – an especially popular time for romantic walks on deserted beaches.
And if you want to sample Tenby’s vibrant atmosphere during the Christmas and New Year Holidays, yet have a quiet retreat as an “escape” you would have to look hard to find a better Winter holiday location than The Old Vicarage.
